BOOKS ABOUT WITCHES OK - BIBLE IS NOT

Culbertson Elementary School in Pennsylvania decided that it was ok for kindergarten students to invite their parents to read books about witches, but not ok to invite their parents to read the Bible. It seems a kindergarten class was given an assignment in which parents were invited to read their child's favorite book. One child was denied permission to have his Mother read a Bible story. The United States District Court sided with the school's decision. The Arizona-based Alliance Defense Fund has submitted amicus briefs in the pending legal action. It will be interesting to see the final outcome in this matter. My thanks to River West for this article.
