REID NOW WILLING TO DEAL

The Washington Post first reported it, but Ed Morrissey at Captains Quarter really calls it right: "Harry Getting Desperate" As Captain Ed reports Reid now realizes that the coming weeks will be one of the last opportunities to alter the course of the war. Could it be because Petraeus is going to report good news when he gives his report to Congress? Anyhow, Harry Reid is now admitting that his stance this summer, when he ruled out any compromise with Republicans didn't work. So now, Harry wants to reach out to Republicans and invite them to join the Democrats. Will it work this time? Hopefully not.
