REPUBLICANS INTERESTED IN FRED THOMPSON

Robert Novak has an article today in Townhall called "Republican Melancholy". Novak claims that Republicans have been in much worse shape during the last fifty years, but that Republican voters yearn for a leader. That's why they are interested in Fred Thompson. Novak, being Novak, couldn't resist a little zinger that Thompson did not fulfill lofty expectations. Well, Mr. Novak, there are thousands of us who disagree with you about Senator Thompson not fulfilling lofty expectations. He certainly has done everything he promised us he would. And now the fight begins. September 6 is a new beginning for the Republican party and for all of us.
