PRESIDENT BUSH AT ASIA-PACIFIC SUMMIT
President Bush arrived in Australia to attend the Asia-Pacific summit. Not since World War II has a President had so many important matters to deal with. Of course, Iraq is at the top of the list, but the participants will also deal with global warming, trade and difficult foreign policy challenges like North Korea. The President won't have much of a chance to rest in the coming days. In fact, he will leave the summit a day early, in order to return to Washington in advance of General Petraeus' report to Congress. My thanks to my good friend River West for this article.
