COLOMBIAN ARMY KILLS REBEL HEAD
The BBC is reporting that the Colombian army says it has killed a leading member of the country's largest left-wing guerrilla group, the Farc, during an assault against rebel troops. Tomas Medina Caceres was killed in the assault, in what the Colombian defense minister described as the biggest blow to the group's logistical capacity. Again, I have to wonder why this story is not being reported by the American press. Thanks to River West for this information.
