REPUBLICAN UPPER TIER NONSENSE

Mark Kilmer at Redstate has a good post about the "Upper tier" nonsense emanating from certain Republican circles. As he rightfully points out, depending on what statistic you are talking about, the Upper tier keeps shifting. It is pretty clear that Mitt Romney's camp is pushing the upper tier nonsense, because it works to his benefit most of the time. Romney talks about fundraising, but forgets to mention how much of his own money he has contributed, and forgets to mention that Fred Thompson just announced on September 6, 2007. Now, Romney is trying to frame the upper tier candidates again, by saying Huckabee has to raise %20 million this quarter to move into the top tier, ditto for Thompson. Well, I have news for Governor Romney. He doesn't get to define the upper tier. The American people will do that.
