French President Nicolas Sarkozy made a trip to Chad and met with Chad's leader Idriss Deby to discuss the situation involving French Nationals being held by Chad on kidnapping charges. Sarkozy left Chad with 7 of the Europeans held, including 3 French journalists and four flight attendants from Spain.

Chad has charged six French nationals with kidnapping after they attempted to fly from Chad with 103 children, who were allegedly orphans from Sudan's Darfur region. I have a feeling that we are going to hear a lot more about this story.
