I think the poll results are probably right, but as usual with the New York Times, their conclusion is ridiculous. What the poll numbers do indicate is not a dissatisfaction by Republican voters, but rather, several outstanding candidates, who are making the choice difficult.
The Politico is reporting that a poll from the Pew Research Center is showing that the Republican party is in worse shape than it has been in in a long time. According to the poll only 36 percent of Republicans and Republican leaning independents say the GOP does an excellent or good job of standing up for traditional GOP positions. I think that this poll, like so many others will turn out to be wrong when it comes to Presidential politics.
The Gallup Poll reports that Congressional approval is at an all time low. Only 18% of the American people approve of the job that Congress is doing.
Iowa's straw poll sounds like more about money then actual popularity.
