Paul Weyrich is the pundit I dislike the most. He is arrogant, pompous and self serving. I rarely pay any attention to anything he says. He lost my respect when he presumed to tell people who the good and bad Christians were in politics. But in this case, I have to give him credit for the article about the pork in the omnibus bill just passed by Congress.

Ed Morrissey has a really interesting article about the CNN debate debacle of Wednesday evening. As he said, corruption is a strong word, but CNN's behavior gives rise to the question.

I find it strange that CNN didn't do a better job of checking out the people asking questions.

It is no surprise to me that the press ranks dead last in this survey.

As time goes on, I dislike George Will more and more. Not so much for his philosophy, because I agree with most of what he says, but because of his arrogance. He gives the conservative movement a bad name with his superior, patronizing attitude toward all who disagree with him. The conservative movement would be better served without the arrogance of pundits like him and William Kristol.

Paul Krugman of the New York Times has started a war of words with the Washington Post editorial writer, Ruth Marcus. This is what started the battle. Read the other two posts to get a sense of the fight. After this article by Krugman, Ruth Marcus responded with "Krugman vs. Krugman." Yesterday Paul Krugman fired back with "They Hate Me - They Really Hate Me." I found it fascinating to see supposedly liberal columnists fighting it out so publicly.

This story about Dick Morris, if true, is fascinating. I have no respect for Morris, but, frankly, I had never heard any of this stuff. I now have to wonder what in the world is he doing on Fox News every night?

This is a must read for anyone who follows politics closely. I know I am constantly wondering who leaked a story and why they would do that. Read this article, and you begin to get an idea.

The Politico has not been fair to Fred Thompson ever since he said he might run for President. Why would we expect anything different from them now? I thought Senator Thompson was terrific on Meet the Press.

I keep asking people why is the success that our military is now enjoying in Iraq not being reported by the Media? This story at least does report it. The article leads with a headline "Serious success in Iraq is not being recognized as it should be." General Petraeus has done a terrific job and it is time for the media in the states to start telling the truth.

Captain's Quarters has a great post about the liberal bias in the media. Ed Morrissey talks about a report by Harvard University. According to the report not only are the Democrats favored by the tone of the coverage, they also get more coverage. Read the whole post. It is well worth the time.

Newsbusters reports that CNN's Howard Kurtz pointed out that few media outlets seemed at all interested in giving much attention to the great news out of Iraq last week. You have to read this for yourself to really appreciate how far the media will go to spin the truth.

Michael Barone has a terrific article in Real Clear Politics about America's colleges and universities. He points out what I have thought for quite some time - they have become the most closed-minded and intellectually dishonest institutions in our society.

Captain Ed reports that the Senate is going to craft a shield law for reporters. One of the things that Ed Morrissey found so intriguing is that he will evidently be covered by the Shield law being crafted, but the BBC will not, since they get their funding from the British government.
